Guernsey Round Table Harbour Carnival 2015
Best Dressed Duck Primary School Competition Terms and Conditions
1. The competition is open to Guernsey primary school pupils.
2. Multiple entries per pupil are allowed.
3. The entrant’s name, age and contact telephone number should be written on the base of the
duck in permanent marker.
4. No battery powered modifications are permitted.
5. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 3 June 2015 and duck will be collected from schools
on this date by the Guernsey Round Table.
6. Entries will be judged by members of the Guernsey Round Table. The winning duck is the one
that in the opinion of the judges is the most fun, colourful and creative. The judges’ decision is final and
no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries.
7. We regret entries will not be returned.
8. The winner will be notified by Thursday 11 June and would need to be available on Friday 19
June at 6pm to officially open the Harbour Carnival in St Peter Port.
9. The winner will be asked to take part in Harbour Carnival publicity such as having their photo
taken and their photo and name appearing in the media.
10. Photographic or video images recorded of the winner at the Harbour Carnival by the Guernsey
Round Table or their agents may be used for future promotion of the Harbour Carnival or to promote
the Royal Bank of Canada’s community sponsorships. These images may be used in print or online.
11. The prize is for the winner to officially open the 2015 Harbour Carnival on 19 June and a day
trip to Lihou Island for the winner and his or her classmates. Timing of the trip and number of visitors
is subject to agreement with the Lihou Island Trust. Restrictions may apply.
12. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
