The event organisers, Guernsey Round Table and RBC Wealth Management, are inviting entrants for the Ladies Dinghy Race, the Raft Race, the Tug of War and the Man-Powered Flight. Application forms can be downloaded from http://www.harbourcarnival.gg
Shaun Gourley of the Guernsey Round Table said: ‘Each year, we look to build on the success of the previous year so this time around we’ve made a few changes. The Raft Race is now open to everyone and anyone, and we’ve increased the amount of Corporate and Mini ducks that will be available for purchase.
‘With the Guernsey Sea Cadets as this year’s main beneficiary, we are hoping as many people as possible will get involved and get their sponsorship forms filled out. My advice: play to your strengths – whether you see yourself pulling on the end of a rope, taking flight into the Harbour or paddling to victory, get your application form in now!’
Speaking on behalf of RBC Wealth Management, sponsors of the Harbour Carnival, Alan Pearce said: ‘The Carnival is shaping up to be a family-friendly, fun-filled fundraising extravaganza yet again. I’m looking forward to seeing the various races, and I may be biased in hoping that there will be an RBC team that is victorious again this year! It’s great to lend our support to such a worthwhile and enjoyable local event, and see the real benefits it provides to local good causes.’
